Realogile Secondary School has recorded a sterling performance in the 2012 matric results with a pass rate of 74%; the highest of all the schools in the township of Alexandra. Remarkably, 74% of candidates who wrote Mathematics passed, as well as 91% of those that wrote Physical Science. Furthermore, the matric class achieved a 100% pass rate in Geography, Life Sciences and Music; a tremendous accomplishment.

The school’s successes are a product of a hardworking team of educators led by a strong principal and heads of departments. The school’s principal, Dumisani Mbatha, ascribes the success to his staff as well as being blessed with a school full of hardworking and obedient learners. He does however indicate that bridging classes are needed for those that struggle with various subjects and believes that parental involvement needs improvement.

The DA has assisted Realogile Secondary in various ways over the past year, including the supply of library books and the painting of classrooms. We are delighted that the school has done so well and look forward to working closely with them in the coming year. The DA wishes the staff and learners of Realogile Secondary School even greater success in 2013.
