DA Gauteng South Regional Chairperson
The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng will be hosting a Jobs Imbizo in Diepkloof, Soweto, next Saturday, 23 February. The party’s Soweto East constituency has invited a number of recruitment companies, career guidance institutions and other interested organisations to provide young unemployed people with guidance and information.
The DA recognises that there are numerous barriers which prevent many young people from entering the job market. As part of our Jobs Campaign, we plan to bring opportunities such as these closer to the people.
Activities at the Jobs Imbizo will include guidance on CV writing, opportunities to register CVs online in order to minimise costs, and guidance on available career opportunities.
The DA will also use this opportunity to present our plan for Growth and Jobs in South Africa. This includes increased support for entrepreneurs, implementation of the Youth Wage Subsidy and cutting down the barriers to economic growth in our country.
The DA has a plan to create an open and inclusive economy in which each individual has the skills, opportunities and resources to live their best life possible.
