Jacques Smalle MP
DA Limpopo Provincial Leader
Yesterday’s by-election results in ward 27 in Makhuduthamaga and Ward 24 in Tzaneen show that the DA is undoubtedly on the growth path in Limpopo.
In ward 27 Makhuduthamaga, we have increased our support from 1.75% in 2011 local government elections to 26.65% yesterday. In Tzaneen, ward 24 has also seen an impressive growth from 4.88% in 2011 to 14.37%.
This growth is a clear indication that more and more voters in Limpopo want to see a change and that change will be brought by the DA. In 2014 we will definitely grow to become the official opposition party in the province.
The choice is now between the ruling party with its questionable track record in service delivery and the DA, the only party with a proven track record in government.
On behalf of the DA in Limpopo, I would like to thank all those voters who went to the voting polls in their numbers to vote for the DA. A special vote of thanks also goes to those DA activists who put all their efforts to make sure that our campaign becomes a resounding success.
