DA extends condolences on the death of DA Chairperson of Bohlokong Branch

Annelie Lotriet MP

DA Free State Provincial Chairperson

It is with tremendous sadness that we learn of the death of one of our most dynamic DA activists. The chairperson of the DA’s Bohlokong Branch, Bethlehem, Mr Thami Vuvumendlini, was brutally murdered in what appears to be a car hijacking yesterday afternoon.

We are informed that the SAPS have already apprehended two suspects and the investigations into the murder are underway. We thank the SAPS for their swift efforts in seeing justice done.

Mr Thami Vuvumendlini was a dedicated DA activist, tirelessly working in Bohlokong to advance the DA’s goal of bringing about an ‘Open, Opportunity Society for All’. He played an instrumental role during the recent elections campaign.

We extend our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Vuvumendlini family, to Thami’s friends, acquaintances and all the members of the DA Bohlokong Branch. Thami’s death leaves with us a void, but also a determination to work towards a crime free society.

May Thami’s soul rest in peace. Robala ka kgotso.
