The Democratic Alliance notes with sadness the passing of Eddie “Bra Eddie” Zondi. South Africa’s music industry and airwaves have indeed lost one of their professional giants.┬áThe DA extends its deepest condolences to his family and friends and joins the nation in mourning the passing of one of South Africa’s top radio personalities.

Zondi, a son of Soweto and raised in KZN, gave more than 20 years of his life to the South African broadcasting industry and will forever be remembered as a top Soul / RnB icon. Those who tune into Metro FM on Sundays will have to listen with new ears as Sundays will never be the same without the Romantic Repertoire as only he could present the show with his charisma, talent and arresting voice.

He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. May your soul rest in peace, Bra Eddie.
