  • OTP underspent on Information Communication Technology
  • District-system within the province must be reviewed to ensure capacity and quality service
  • High spending on compensation of employees is caused by bloated bureaucracy and non-core positions
  • OTP investigated only 85 fraud and corruption cases out of backlog of 400

“Resolve issues raised by the people, rather than perpetual determination of needs of the people”

  • Legislature reported on hosting of sectorial parliaments but there is no feedback on issues raised
  • Sectorial days, including Taking Legislature to the People, should be used to resolve issues in communities
  • Sex for jobs scandal is yet to be laid to rest

  • Commercial property ownership is dominated by Government, EC Provincial Government is the significant land owner is small towns
  • We must support the creation of a favourable business environment and related infrastructure through a focus on public-private partnerships
  • In maximising choice, promoting innovation and fostering an environment in which competition thrives will a society achieve meaningful and sustainable economic growth

  • Teacher unions who have opposed teacher redeployment have deprived children their constitutional right to education
  • MEC should consider services of retired teachers and principals to monitor school management
  • Teachers dressed in union branding sends out the wrong message that they have carte blanche to do as they like
