Human Rights Day: DA helps to rebuild a pensioner’s collapsed RDP

Media Advisory:

Today, 21 March 2015, as part of the Human Rights Day celebrations DA Provincial Chairperson Langa Bodlani will be joined by DA councillors and activists to rebuild a collapsed and destroyed RDP house belonging to a 69 year-old pensioner Ms. Makota of  Makgophopong Village in Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality.

This house has been uninhabitable since a hail storm in December 2013.  The municipality has completely ignored the plight of this pensioner who has had to move to a rundown shack.

The DA will use today’s celebration to bring awareness that human rights mean a caring society especially for those who are in  need and are vulnerable

Date:  Saturday, 21 March 2015
Time:  10h00
Venue: Ward 1, Makgophopong Village in Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality.
