No water in Phalaborwa: DA to walk in solidarity with the residents

Democratic Alliance Media Advisory:

Tomorrow , 07 March 2015 , the DA will take part in a solidarity walk to highlight the plight of the  residents of  Benfarm village  in Phalaborwa who  walk long distances to fetch water.


The residents have been without water for more than two years and they are forced to push wheelbarrows while others carry  heavy containers of water on their heads and walk for more than six kilometres.


The DA’s Constituency head in the area,  Lindy Wilson (MP) will also address the residents about the ongoing load shedding, as part of the DA’s “Power to people” campaign.
