By Andrew Louw, MPL, DA Provincial Leader:
The Democratic Alliance notes that judgement in the Trifecta-matter is set to be delivered on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
We are eagerly awaiting the outcome of this trial.
We are not going to pre-empt the outcome of the courts. The evidence has been placed before the courts and we have faith in the judiciary to deliver a fair verdict, based on the evidence at hand.
We hope that the verdict will bring a resolution. For far too long, two members of the executive council have been facing serious criminal charges.
It is an embarrassment and an insult to the people of this province when senior members of the executive council spend more time in the dock than they do at their offices.
