Ken Robertson elected to serve in Parliament

By James Masango MPL, DA Mpumalanga Provincial Leader:

The DA Mpumalanga is proud to announce that Mbombela PR Councilor, Ken Robertson, has been elected by the DA to serve in Parliament as an MP.  Robertson will represent the DA, our voters and South Africa in the National Assembly of Parliament.

This position became vacant when I returned to the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature to lead the DA from within the province to deliver on the mandate afforded to me by Mpumalanga.

Through the DA’s internal candidate selected procedure, an electoral college elected Ken Robertson, to top an amended DA Mpumalanga parliamentary list.

Robertson has been very active representing the DA for the past 3 years in the Hazyview area.  He stood as a candidate for the Mpumalanga Legislature in the 2014 elections, but narrowly missed the cut. Ken was elected as the DA Mpumalanga provincial deputy chairperson at the DA congress earlier this year.

We wish Robertson all the best in his new position and charge him to serve the people of Mpumalanga and South Africa with his every effort.
