DA wishes matriculants well in upcoming exams

By Jane Sithole MPL, DA Spokesperson on Education:

The DA wishes all matriculants the best of luck for their upcoming National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.

This year, the province will see 56 116 full time learners and 5 384 part time learners write their final examinations. These are the highest recorded numbers of learners to sit in Mpumalanga for the grade 12 exams since 2010.

Last year, Mpumalanga matriculants secured a 79% pass rate which was higher than the national average of 75.8%. We hope that this year, the class of 2015 will again do us proud and emerge with even better results.

We also hope that Education MEC, Reginah Mhaule, has ensured that systems to root out possible fraud are in place and that the examination testing centres and exam paper dispatchers are ready and secured.

These exams are a stepping stone towards securing a better future and the fulfilment of each learner’s dreams. As such, the DA urges all learners to work hard, to study hard and to focus on the task at hand.

Best wishes to the class of 2015.
